The Graefekiez stretches from the Landwehrkanal to Volkspark Hasenheide and is especially popular with young families, students, creatives and artists. Its beautiful Wilhelminian-era buildings, spacious parks and the leafy banks of the canal all contribute to the atmosphere.

The Graefekiez has something to offer everybody: restaurants of all shapes and sizes, real Italian pizza and ice cream, cosy cafés and bars and tiny shops of the kind you’ll be hard-pressed to find outside Kreuzberg.

Every Tuesday and Friday, there’s a big, colourful Mediterranean market by the canal at nearby Maybachufer.

And the Graefekiez is a paradise for kids too, with plenty of playgrounds and child-friendly cafés.
